What are the main advantages of the Integrity PayAsUGo Health care product over insurance-based primary healthcare products?

Insurance based products are relatively complex and expensive to administer. They are better suited to cover the costs of higher cost and lower frequency medical events. Primary health events are relatively low cost and high frequency. When applied to covering primary health costs the management costs of insurance relative to the actual amounts paid towards delivering health care are high.

How does Integrity make its money?

Integrity charges employers a monthly platform fee based on the number of its employees. Integrity charges medical providers for processing the financial transactions to secure the payment of their fees by employees and/or their employers.

What are the main advantages of the Integrity PayAsUGo Health care product over other available payroll advance solutions?

Integrity caters both for fortnightly and weekly paid employees in addition to those paid monthly. The Integrity solution can also be made available to outsourced, contract and part-time workers. Integrity initiated payroll advances are limited to funding health costs, thereby limiting abuse of these advances.

Can employees make medical payments in advance?

Integrity offers employees the ability to pre-fund their own healthcare costs, by making contributions in advance.

What are the main advantages of the Integrity PayAsUGo Health care product over insurance-based primary healthcare products?

Unlike insurance-based products, the Integrity PayAsUGo Health product has no underwriting profit requirement. This means that more of what employees/contractors and their employers contribute is spent on the actual health care needs of employees. It also means that Integrity doesn’t need to use “gatekeeping” strategies (hurdles) that restrict your ease of access to, and your choice of, medical service provider.

How do Max vouchers work?
  • When a Max voucher is issued for a medical service, it provides the medical provider with the assurance that Integrity Health will pay them for the services that they provide to you (or your dependents), up to the maximum value. 
  • If the medical provider wishes to charge you more than this maximum amount for their services, they will need to charge you a co-payment. 
  • If you are unable to make any such co-payment, please advise the medical provider of this in advance of the provision of their services to you.
How do lay-by vouchers for spectacles and dentures work?
  • If in your medical provider consult it is determined that you need a medical appliance, the provider will generate a quote/proforma invoice for you to review and approve.
  • If you approve the cost, you will either need to approve this in the MEDinterface app or enter your provider details and the item details and cost, on your app and approve.
  • Once the quote/pro-forma invoice has been accepted by you on your app your medical provider will receive notification of this by e-mail/SMS or in their portal
  • Integrity Health will then start to collect the funds necessary to pay for the relevant medical device from a series of payroll deductions. You can adjust the payment on the amount made per pay cycle on your MEDinterface app if you wish to.
  • The medical provider will not commission the manufacture of the medical device (spectacles, dentures etc.) until they have been advised by Integrity Health that it has completed the process of collecting the relevant payments on their behalf
  • When this funding target has been reached both they and you will be advised by Integrity that they can proceed to manufacture the device and issue it to you.
  • Should you leave your employment prior to the full amount being collected, you will have the option to either have the full outstanding amount deducted from your final payroll run or to be refunded the amount contributed by Integrity into your bank account.
How does Integrity make its money?

What are the main advantages of the Integrity PayAsUGo Health care product over other available payroll advance solutions?

We limit the use of employees’ payroll advances to health care spend only which we believe is a more responsible approach.

Can I make medical payments in advance?

Yes. You can agree to contribute an amount each pay-cycle to building up a pre-payment amount to be used towards medical costs when required.

Can I as an employee/contractor make medical payments in advance?

Yes, Integrity offers employees the ability to pre-fund their own healthcare costs, by making contributions in advance. You simply need to sign-up for this on the Integrity MEDinterface web application.

What happens to my pre-payments if I leave my employer?

You can either ask for a refund of the amount that you have contributed, or if you are going to work for another employer that is on the Integrity platform you can ask that your funds be transferred to your new employer environment.

Medical Service Provider

What can I charge for my services?

You can charge what you like for your services. Integrity’s acute care vouchers, however, have a maximum value per voucher. If your costs exceed this amount you can ask for an extension. This may be granted if the employee both has the funds available and agrees to the extension. If the employee does not have access to additional funds through Integrity, you may, however, request a direct co-pay from the employee which must then be processed by your practice at the time.

What admin do I need to do at a visit?
  • If your practice has its own Integrity Health MEDinterface portal
    • Before you consult, verify the voucher/employee as valid on your portal.
    • At the end of the consult enter the actual amount of the consult
  • If your practice is not using the Integrity Health MEDinterface portal – you can use your preferred Integrity integrated switch to do the following:
    • Before you consult the patient confirm the validity of the voucher
    • At the end of the consult claim the actual amount for the consult through your preferred integrated switch and receive: 
      • confirmation of claim acceptance or 
      • notification of any co-pay requirement if the amount exceeds the maximum voucher amount
How do I arrange for payment of additional pharmacy items or pathology testing?
    • If your practice makes use of its own Integrity Health MEDinterface portal
      • At the end of the consult after you have entered the actual amount of the consult, highlight the completed voucher and click on add voucher
      • Once the add voucher tab opens, select the service required
      • Once accepted by the employee, this voucher is active and may be used immediately to obtain access to the required services
    • If your practice does not make use of its Integrity Health MEDinterface portal
      • At the end of the consult you will need to ask the employee to generate the required voucher for these additional services themselves
  • Once issued this voucher is active and may be used immediately to obtain access to the required services

 

How do lay-by vouchers for spectacles and dentures work?
  • If your practice has its own Integrity Health MEDinterface portal
    • Confirm the validity of the voucher
    • Consult the patient and determine their need for the relevant medical appliance
    • At the end of the consult:
      • Enter the actual amount for the consult
      • If the patient requires spectacles, dentures etc. then highlight the relevant employee voucher for the consult and click “Add Voucher” and then enter your provider and item details, and cost
      • The employee will receive a notification in their MEDinterface app for them to authorise
      • Once your quote/pro-forma invoice has been accepted by the employee you will receive notification of this by the relevant voucher being generated and displayed on your portal
      • You should not commission the manufacture of the medical device until you are advised by Integrity Health that it has completed the process of collecting the relevant payments on your behalf in full.
      • Integrity will then collect the funds necessary to pay for the relevant medical device from a series of payroll deductions
      • When the funding target has been reached you will be advised by Integrity Health, and you can then proceed to manufacture the device and issue it to the employee
  • If your practice does not use the Integrity Health MEDinterface portal – use your preferred integrated switch to
    • Confirm the validity of the voucher
    • Consult the patient and determine their need for the relevant medical appliance
    • At the end of the consult:
      • Claim the actual amount for the consult through your preferred integrated switch and receive confirmation of payment or co-pay requirement
    • Generate a quote/proforma invoice for the employee
    • The employee then enters your provider and item details and cost, on their app.
    • Once your quote/pro-forma invoice has been accepted by the employee on their app you will receive notification of this by e-mail/SMS
    • You should not commission the manufacture of the medical device until you are advised by Integrity Health that it has completed the process of collecting the relevant payments on your behalf
    • Integrity will then collect the funds necessary to pay for the relevant medical device from a series of payroll deductions
    • When the funding target has been reached you will be advised by Integrity by e-mail/SMS, and you can then proceed to manufacture the device and issue it to the employee
When will I be paid by Integrity?

  • For layby vouchers, Integrity only incurs liability to pay medical providers for these items once the target layby amount has been collected.

  • If your practice is not using the MEDinterface portal once you have received notification from Integrity Health, you can use your preferred integrated switch to process your claim. Integrity Health will then make payment.
